최근 미 트럼프 행정부의 이란 및 반(反)민주주의 세력에 대한 강경 행보를 두고 국내외 언론의 우려 섞인 목소리가 높다. 특히 이란 접경 지역에서의 군사적 긴장 고조를 '무모한 전쟁 도발'로 규정하며 대중을 선동하는 보도가 줄을 잇고 있다. 그러나 우리는 현상 너머의 본질을 보아야 한다. 트럼프 대통령의 행보는 단순히 '자국 우선주의'의 발로가 아니라, 수십 년간 지구촌을 괴롭혀온 '악의 축'을 제거하고 진정한 의미의 평화를 정착시키기 위한 전략적 대수술이다.

Lately, domestic and international media have been raising voices of concern regarding the Trump administration’s hardline stance against Iran and other anti-democratic forces. In particular, reports characterizing the escalating military tensions near the Iranian border as "reckless war-mongering" have been misleading the public. However, we must look beyond the surface to the essence of the matter. President Trump’s actions are not merely an expression of "America First" isolationism; they represent a strategic surgical strike aimed at eradicating the "Axis of Evil" that has plagued the global village for decades and establishing a genuine, lasting peace.

First, the current ruling elite of Iran must be relegated to the dustbin of history. The Iranian theocracy, which has disrupted international order through state-sponsored terrorism and nuclear development, has long lost the support of its own people. While a few collaborators may still cling to the current regime, peace in the Middle East will remain an impossibility as long as a totalitarian government that suppresses universal human rights and freedoms exists. Trump’s forceful pressure is an inevitable choice to dismantle this obsolete system and establish a new democratic order.

Second, the grand mission of "ending totalitarian dictatorship" extends directly to North Korea. Historically, the expansion of freedom has always been accompanied by pain.
